Pricing FAQ
Is the $15 California fee included?
Yes. California’s $15/signature statutory fee (Gov. Code §8211) is built into every rate we quote. You won’t see it added at the end.
What if I have multiple signatures?
Most visits involve more than one signature. The flat rate covers the visit. Additional signatures beyond the first are $15 each (California statutory fee) — confirmed upfront.
What counts as “after-hours”?
After 6:30 PM or before 8:00 AM. After-hours appointments start at $225 and require advance confirmation — not guaranteed for same-day requests.
Is travel included?
Travel within the Sacramento metro is included in the flat rate. Extended cities (Folsom, Roseville, Davis, Woodland) add $25–$35, always quoted before we leave.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Zelle, Venmo, and major credit cards. Payment is collected at the time of service. We confirm the method when we confirm the appointment.
What if you can’t complete the notarization?
If we arrive and cannot proceed (signer unavailable, capacity issue, missing ID) and we have not yet started, there is no charge. We’ll explain why and what alternatives exist.
Why is hospital pricing the same as same-day?
Hospital visits require priority scheduling, capacity-assessment protocol, and coordination with facility staff — the same operational demands as same-day service. The $125 reflects that.
What is apostille pricing and why the range?
$150 standard covers a notarization that feeds into the apostille process. $250 rush covers expedited California Secretary of State submission via our sister site, Apostille San Francisco.
Do you charge per document or per signature?
Per signature, as required by California law. The flat visit rate covers one signature. Additional signatures on the same visit are $15 each, confirmed upfront.
Is the loan signing rate negotiable for bulk orders?
Signing agents working with title companies and escrow — call directly at (916) 856-7000 to discuss volume arrangements. We do not negotiate individual appointment rates.
Do you notarize without valid ID?
California allows a credible-witness alternative when government ID is unavailable. The witness must personally know the signer and not benefit from the document. Call us to set this up before arrival.
Can I book in advance?
Yes. Advance bookings are available Mon–Sun. Call (916) 856-7000 or use the contact form. Same-day appointments are also available — call directly for fastest confirmation.
