Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to equal access for all clients — including those with disabilities
Our Commitment
Sacramento Notary Co is committed to ensuring equal access to our notary services for all clients, including individuals with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves professional, dignified notary services regardless of physical ability, medical condition, or location.
We strive to make our website and services accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California Government Code.
Mobile & Bedside Notary Services
As a fully mobile notary service, we come to you — wherever you are. We routinely serve clients who cannot travel due to disability, illness, or injury:
- Hospital & bedside notarizations — we visit patients at Sutter Medical Center, UC Davis Medical Center, Mercy General Hospital, and other Sacramento-area facilities
- Hospice & skilled nursing facilities — experienced working with hospice coordinators, social workers, and care teams at SNFs and memory care communities
- Home visits — for clients with mobility limitations, we travel to your residence throughout Sacramento, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, and Citrus Heights
- Same-day and evening appointments — available seven days a week, 8 AM–10 PM, including weekends and holidays
Website Accessibility
We are actively working to improve the accessibility of sacramentonotaryco.com. Current measures include:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy
- Sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the site
- Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
- Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators
- Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users
- No auto-playing audio or video content
- Responsive layout that adapts to zoom and large-text settings
We test our site using automated accessibility tools and manual review. If you experience any accessibility barriers, please contact us — your feedback helps us improve.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with common assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Browser zoom and high-contrast display modes
- Switch access and keyboard-only navigation
- Voice input software
We recommend using an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) with your assistive technology for the best experience.
Accommodations for Signers
We are trained and experienced in notarizing documents for clients who may have difficulty signing due to physical limitations. California law provides specific provisions for signers unable to sign in the usual manner. Please communicate any needs when scheduling so we can prepare appropriately:
- Limited hand mobility or grip — signature-by-mark notarizations available per California Government Code §8206
- Blind or low vision — we can read document contents aloud prior to notarization
- Communication barriers — interpreters welcome; must be disclosed and noted in the notary journal
- Cognitive impairments — sensitive to capacity considerations; we work with families, care teams, and attorneys as needed
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are aware of the following and are working to address them:
- Some older PDF documents linked from the site may lack full text tagging
- Certain third-party embedded elements (scheduling widgets, maps) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control
If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know.
