Frequently Asked Questions

Mobile notary service across Sacramento — clear answers before you book.

How much does a mobile notary cost in Sacramento?
Sacramento Notary Co charges from $70 for standard mobile notarization. Same-day appointments start at $125. Loan signings from $175. All prices include the California statutory fee of $15 per signature and mobile travel within the core service area.
How fast can a mobile notary arrive in Sacramento?
Most appointments are confirmed within 15 minutes of your call. Same-day service is available 8 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.
Does Sacramento Notary Co come to hospitals?
Yes. We provide bedside notary service at all Sacramento-area hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, including Mercy General, UC Davis Medical Center, and Kaiser. Bedside appointments from $125.
What areas does Sacramento Notary Co serve?
We serve Sacramento and the surrounding region including Elk Grove, Folsom, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, and Roseville. Travel fee quoted before dispatch.
What ID do I need to get a document notarized in California?
You need a current, government-issued photo ID such as a California driver license, state ID, U.S. passport, or other ID accepted under California Civil Code §1185. The name on your ID should match the name on the document. If you have no acceptable ID, notarization can sometimes proceed using two credible witnesses — ask us before your appointment.
What is the difference between a notary and a loan signing agent?
Every loan signing agent is a commissioned notary, but not every notary is trained to handle loan documents. A loan signing agent is a notary with additional certification (ours is NNA-certified and background screened) who is trained to guide borrowers through a full loan package — purchase, refinance, HELOC, or seller documents — and return it correctly to escrow.
How do I get an apostille in California?
A California apostille is issued by the Secretary of State to authenticate a document for use in another country. Most documents are first notarized, then submitted to the state for the apostille. We facilitate the full process — notarization plus Secretary of State routing — from $150 standard or $250 rush, with the state filing fee included.
Do I need a notary for a power of attorney in California?
In California a power of attorney generally must be either notarized or signed by two adult witnesses, and notarization is required for a POA that will be recorded for real-estate matters. Notarization is the standard, widely accepted choice. We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice, so confirm your document’s specific requirements with your legal advisor.
Can a notary help if the signer is elderly or seriously ill?
Yes. We regularly notarize for seniors and patients in hospitals and care facilities. The signer must be aware of what they are signing, able to communicate their willingness, and able to sign or direct a signature. We pace these appointments patiently and are experienced with bedside and capacity-sensitive signings.
Are you available on weekends, evenings, and holidays?
Yes. We operate 8 AM to 10 PM every day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Evening and same-day requests are welcome when availability allows.
What types of documents can you notarize?
We handle acknowledgments, jurats, affidavits, sworn statements, powers of attorney, loan and real-estate documents, living trusts, wills with proper witnessing, and healthcare directives. As a notary we verify identity and witness signatures; we do not prepare documents or give legal advice.
Can you notarize loan and real estate documents?
Yes. As an NNA-certified Sacramento loan signing agent we handle purchase, refinance, HELOC, and seller packages, with same-day scan-back to escrow. Loan signings start at $175.
